Made and finished this maybe.....three months ago????? Not too sure when I did this but eh :/...

Here it is, my Indigo MAverick scuplture. Go little plastic eyes that look more realistic than painted ones.

With sculpey that I baught at Micheal's art supply, molded the clay over a wire skeletan with foil added to it so I would'nt use as much clay, and to reinforce them so they could stand up on thier own without collapsing while I was making them.

when you say you added foil... was that to the middle? I have a wire frame that I've created... I was going to use paper mache... but that would look so crappy :( thing is.... I've connected all the wires by masking tape... how did you do it?

I built the wire skelton, then added foil wrapped around the wires to re-enforce it,then I added the clay overtop of it,the whole point of the foil/wire innet body is so i wont have to use as much clay.

And make it solid so theres no internal air pockets, otherwise when you bake it,the heat can built up nad the hot molecules with cause it to explode cuz they try to exspand the space.

does the clay actually stick to the foil?
thanx :D i shall try it ^^
do you have to do lots of layers of the foil? and do you think it'll matter about the masking tape? .-.

uhm?..I'd find a way to make the wires stick together other then tape, I've never used masking tape for..anything art wise? But...I'm thinkin it would'nt do so great in the oven other then turning into a sticky melted mess of adhesive and tapish stuff, lol.

But yes,the clay sticks to the foil really well.

Lol, I did offer them as commissions afew years ago when I first got the sculpey, but? no takers.
I could offer them now,but I have maybe enough sculpey for one or two small sculptures.
And I don't really have a wide variet of paint to paint them even if someone commissioned me a sculpture :(.
I'm seriously like? sooo low on supplies it's unreal.
